Easy refreshing on your floral design skills (Video)

Like a vehicle driving skill, you can keep the flower arranging skill as a lifetime property once you have earned a decent level of skills by way of learning diligently for a couple of years. Suppose you drive a car for a while, say about 3 years after getting a license and stay away from driving for 5 years, and all of a sudden you are forced to drive yourself after 5 years’ interval, you may feel a little bit difficult for the first half day or so. However you can easily remember how to do and what to do and catch up with the level it should be.

The same can be said in the case of flower arrangements. If you acquired a reasonable level of flower arranging skill after learning for a while, say about 2 years and you engage in making floral arrangements for 5 years and after that you cannot continue doing so due to the situation surrounding you such as you are too busy for a certain period of time and after 10 years’ interval if you resume making flower arrangements, you may most probably feel a little bit difficult only because you have been away from doing it for 10 years. However you can easily remember the way of arranging and can catch up with the level you earned before. It may take some time for you to clearly remember or to regain the same level of skills as you used to have.

If you are put in this kind of situation, attending a short program may help you refresh your skills easily.

Depending upon the interval you have been away from making floral arrangements or according to the level of your memory about the way of arrangement, you can make a choice of the type of short program. It may be better to take a lesson of one day seminar or it may be necessary to continue a refreshing lesson for a week or more. From person to person it may be different. However what I can clearly say is that once you have earned a decent flower arranging skills after learning a couple of years, the skill can remain useful and you can enjoy it as a lifetime property.

From time to time we have this kind of students. Namely they used to work on flower arrangements. However they have been away from doing it for a long time such as 15 years because the situation surrounding such a student has not been allowing her to continue it. And now the situation has turned out favorably and she can spare time for enjoying it. This may be because of the job situation or raising children. From person to person the situation and reason behind it is different.

Now she is happy to resume enjoying it. In this kind of situation they sometimes approach our school and ask for a kind of help so that she can refresh her floral designing skills. It is not a big deal for us to help her only because she used to work on floral arrangements and she already earned a decent level of arranging skill. What I need to do is just help her remember the way of arrangement and the feeling of floral arranging. Some people want to start from scratch by joining Fresh Flower Arrangement Elementary Course and some would like to join Intermediate Course. The bottom line is it is not a big deal not only for a school but also for a student to establish the environment where such student can regain the decent flower arranging skills.
