I love pound cake! It is so rich and buttery! Here is a super easy recipe for a great pound cake.

Pound Cake

  • 1 lb butter (no margarine)
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 4 cups flour (all purpose)
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 300*.

Grease a tube pan and set aside.

Using an electric mixer, cream together sugar and butter.

Add eggs, one at a time until incorporated.

Alternate flour and milk.

Add vanilla and mix everything together for about 1 minute.

Pour into prepared pan and bake for 2 hours.
