Easy Death by Chocolate Recipe

  • 1 package boxed chocolate cake mix
  • 1 package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 2/3 cups milk (use whole milk for best results)
  • 3/4 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled (add a shot of Kalhua for extra flavor)
  • 1 container Cool Whip, thawed
  • 6 regular sized Heath bars frozen and then crushed

Bake cake in a 9 x 13" pan according to package directions.

Make pudding according to package directions. Whole milk works best but you can use 2% if you're really concerned about calories.

Crumble cooled cake into chunks. Place half of the crumbled cake in a glass trifle bowl (or other large glass bowl). Pour half of the coffee over the cake.

Top with half of the pudding. Cover with half of the whipped topping, then half of the candy bars. Repeat layers in the same order.

Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Serves about 6-8.
