The San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens are making their way to New Orleans for Super Bowl XLVII. This is a great time to pull out those game day recipes that the whole family can help make. New Orleans has been known to have some of the best craw-fish crab, shrimp, and other seafood delights that would make your mouth water. Here’s your chance to make this scrumptious game day recipe and feel like you’re right there with the rest of the Super Bowl fans in New Orleans.
Hot Crab Dip
Ingredients:
1 can (about 6oz / 170 g) shredded crab
Juice of ½ lemon
2 8 – oz (250g) packages of cream cheese
1 c. (250 mL) mayonnaise
1 c. (250 mL) shredded Parmesan cheese
5-6 cloves garlic, minced
½ c. (250 mL) chopped green onions
1 TBSP (15 mL) coarse-grain mustard
¼ tsp. cayenne pepper
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 °F. Combine all ingredients. Mix well and spread in an ovenproof baking dish or pie plate. Then bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly. Serve with your favorite chips or crusty bread.
