With bookshelves lined from end to end with making claims that their diet is the #1 way to lose weight it’s hard to know which diet is the best for healthy food choices. The problem is diets don’t work. If they did bookstores wouldn’t have an entire section devoted to these popular weight loss books and there wouldn’t be a need for fad diet book authors.
Healthy foods are the best way and the easiest way of eating for long term weight loss. It doesn’t have to be hard, it isn’t a fad. No points to count no special foods to prepare. The healthiest foods are those that come in the rawest forms. Meaning nothing is prepackaged, processed or canned.
Healthy foods are those which are clean and whole. When shopping at the supermarket stick to the outside of the store. Preparing fresh produce and cuts of meat often take just as long as a boxed meal but is much healthier.
Your healthy whole food clean eating shopping cart should contain vegetables, fruits, fresh herbs, whole grain breads, herbal teas, lean meats, eggs, beans, low fat dairy, nuts, seeds, olive and coconut oils, oatmeal, and whole-wheat flours for baking.
