The easiest food holiday gifts are those that you don't have to bake or cook for. They involve a trip to the dollar or grocery store, for food and wrapping components.
Needed Components
boxes of individually wrapped mini holiday cakes
packages of holiday cookies
packages of holiday candies
baskets or plates
plastic wrap or fabric
ribbon
tags
-
Place an assortment of cakes and cookies in a basket or on a plate.
-
Fill in empty spaces with candies.
-
Cover with some plastic wrap or fabric, and tie with ribbon.
-
Fill out the tag and attach.
Other options include:
-
Filling jars with candies. These can be food jars that you have saved from meal preparations, or you might be able to find some at affordable prices.
-
Saving tins from gifts you receive one year, to use for food gifts the next.
-
Giving a plate of cakes and cookies as a family gift, then presenting each child within the family with a small jar of holiday candies.
-
Or filling small holiday stockings with candies, rather than jars.
-
Arrange everything on a holiday platter or in a holiday bowl. Or a fruit bowl that the recipient can use year round.
