The color pink has never looked as tough as it did Wednesday night in Ypsilanti, as the pink-clad Eagles turned in a gritty and consistent performance to defeat cross-state rival Western Michigan 65-52.

The Eastern Michigan Eagles finished with an impressively well-balanced offensive attack. Sydney Huntley scored 11 points, while Cassie Shrock and Paige Redditt both had 10. For Western, post presence Ebony Cleary recorded 12 points and 11 rebounds.

The win gives the Eagles a mark of 19-7 (9-5 MAC), and the Broncos decline to 7-20 (2-12 MAC).
