Eastern Idaho Authorities Seeking Information about Triple Homicide

Oneida County Sheriff officials are seeking information about the shooting deaths of three people. The bodies of the three victims were discovered on Friday in a home outside the small town of Holbrook, Idaho, located just north of the Idaho-Utah border. Authorities have identified the victims as 27-year-old Yavette Chivon Carter, her boyfriend, 32-year-old Trent Jon Christensen, and his father, 61-year-old Brent L. Christensen. Authorities also discovered two children, a 2 month old and a 2 year old in the house unharmed. The 2 month old was found under the arm of Yavette Chivon Carter. Both children are currently in the custody of relatives. Authorities state that they also discovered approximately 70 pit bulls which were being raised for sale and for dog fighting, as well as a marijuana growing operation located in the basement of the home. The sheriff’s office does not believe that the shootings are random and states that there is no immediate danger to the public. They are currently seeking information from individuals who attended a party at the home on March 31. Anyone with information about the party or the ongoing investigation is asked to contact the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office at (208) 766-2251.
