Hip-pity, Hop-pity, Easter is on its way. Aren't holidays the best excuse to indulge in sugary treats? Since metro Atlanta has a great selection of gluten-free bakeries, I have put together a roundup of what festive treats are waiting for you.
No need to worry about cross contamination at any of these bakeries because they produce their gluten-free goodies in dedicated environments with strict safe handling procedures.
- 2B Whole Gluten Free European Bakery - has a number of Easter treats available. In order to guarantee your order will be ready for in-store pickup - please place your order by Tuesday, April 15th. Decorated cookies (2/$4), cupcakes ($3 each), and Paleo cupcakes ($4 each) are available for special order.
- Gluten Free Cutie - their spring offerings are loaded with gluten, dairy, and soy-free goodness. Lots of sugar cookies topped with dye-free colored sugars in chick and flower shapes. Their festive cupcake flavors (all are dye free too) include: Chicks Rule, Blueberry Hill, Black Forest, and Sweet Mimosa. Party platters are also available, so be sure to place an order soon.
- Pure Knead - their seasonal cupcake flavor is Coconut, which is vanilla coconut cake topped with vanilla frosting and coconut sprinkles. These cupcakes can be purchased at Piece of Cake and The Cupcake People of Atlanta locations. Within the next month, all of Pure Knead's cupcakes will be vegan (no eggs, or dairy).
- Sally's Gluten Free Bakery - is offering up pound cake, which will come in an 8" x 4" loaf and will sell for $8.99. The pound cake is gluten and soy free, but it does contain dairy.
