Easter Trains 2014

Easter has come upon us. Many of you are planning to celebrate. Some of you are going to go on an Easter egg hunt or and Easter egg roll. Some of you are going to see the Easter Bunny and have your picture taken with him. Some of you will be spending time with family. For the railroad fan, the real way to spend Easter is to be around trains. Here are trains within a few hours of the Nation’s Capital.
The Walkersville Southern Railroad located in Walkersville, Maryland will be having excursions with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 11:00am, 1:00pm and 3:00pm. Each child who rides the train will receive an Easter gift. You can also tour their museum after your trip. You can go to to make reservations (required) and for fares and directions. In New Freedom, Pennsylvania, they will have the “Eggspecially Fun Bunny Run” between the station and Glen Rock on Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19, 2014 with departures at 11:00am, 1:00pm and 2:30pm. The Strasburg Railroad in Strasburg, Pennsylvania will be running Easter Trains from April 18 to 20, 2014 (Friday to Sunday). You can find departure times, fares and directions at Driving time from D.C. is three hours.

The B & O Railroad Museum located at 901 Pratt Street in Baltimore, Maryland will be hosting Bunny Breakfast and Easter train ride on Friday, April 18, 2014 from 8:30am to 9:30am.
