Easter Sunday 2014: Are Target stores open or closed today?

On this Easter Sunday 2014 some folks are wondering if they can do their regular shopping today. The answer is no if you are planning on shopping at Target. The Bay Area's Target stores will be closed today, Easter Sunday April 20, 2014.

That news may surprise some people because Walmart stores are open today. But Target decided to give its employees the day off today. Here in San Francisco, there are two Target stores. The first one is at the Metreon Complex on Mission Street at Fourth. The second is on Geary Blvd near Masonic in the old Sears store complex.

Walmart stores are of course, very similar to Target, but there are no Walmart stores in San Francisco. The closest Walmarts are in Oakland and Richmond, but since many San Francisco residents don't have a car, that won't be much help. You can access both stores by BART and AC Transit but it is long haul, especially if you are carrying a lot of bags.

What is your opinion about Target being closed on Easter? Leave them below.
