Easter, for some, is a Christian religious holiday; but many Easter traditions also reflect pagan Spring rites. For gardeners in the northern hemisphere, Easter ushers in spring: longer days, the return of perennials, blossoms, leaves, and all the glories of the growing season.
This Easter weekend, you might enjoy these links to my articles relating Easter and the garden.
- Fabric Easter eggs: All you need are raw eggs, fabric, glue and a bit of patience to make beautifully decorated eggs you can use year after year.
- Rabbits: All about bunnies.
- Forcing blossoms indoors: Hyacinth and paperwhites make ideal Easter arrangements.
- Add Easter lily to landscape: You can plant your Easter lily outside in your garden.
- Uses for eggshells: Use eggshells to feed your plants and garden.
Happy Easter! Happy Spring!
