Easter egg hunts scheduled for this weekend

Make plans now for the egg-citing community Easter egg hunts scheduled for this weekend in Rockmart and Cedartown..

Family Savings Credit Union will host an egg hunt on Saturday March 23, 2013 starting at 12 p.m. for children 12 and under. The event will host a best decorated egg contest with prizes for first, second and third place. Children need to bring their baskets and a decorated egg.

Be sure to bring your camera for pictures with the Easter Bunny and the Dollar Dog.

(The event will be cancelled in case of bad weather)

Cedar Ridge Church, the Cedartown Junior Service League and The Compassion Building in a joint effort will host an egg hunt on Sunday March 24, 2013 at Peek's Park in Cedartown.

Thousands of colorful Easter eggs will be hidden among the park for children ages 0-12 to hunt. The hunt will be divided by age groups.

In addition to the Easter egg hunt there will be inflatables, free face painting, free snow cones, free popcorn, games and much more. Click here for photos of last years egg hunt.

The event is scheduled from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.

The events are free to the community are are sure to be a hit with the children.
