There are more than a dozen fun egg hunts around Gainesville in 2013. Egg hunts are taking place each weekend in March starting Saturday, March 16th. In addition to hunting for eggs, many Easter events also include bounce houses, pictures with the Easter Bunny, food and entertainment.

Saturday, March 16th
Egg Drop Alachua 11AM-1PM | FREE What's an egg drop? It's like an Easter Egg hunt, only way cooler. In addition to tons of eggs on the field, we'll drop thousands of eggs from a helicopter. Your kids will have a blast collecting eggs that can be redeemed for tons of candy. Join us for festivities, entertainment, and of course the egg drop.

O2BKids Eggstravanganza 9:30AM | $10/child (Free for members and all adults) Separate Egg Hunts by age; bounce house, carnival games and TONS of candy!
Egg Hunt at Milam Funeral Home 10AM -12PM | FREE The egg hunt will feature over 3000 eggs. Children will hunt for the eggs in groups divided by their age. In addition, there will be a huge bounce house with a slide and a maze; 2 little choo choo trains; a fire truck, a dump truck and a Model A. Kids will be able to get inside and explore all the vehicles. The Sheriff's Department will be there to do finger printing with the children AND the Easter Bunny will here! PLUS there will be FREE hot dogs, cookies, lemonade and coffee.

Egg Hunt at Possum Creek Park sponsored by Gainesville Moms - 4:00PM | FREE There will be crafts, games, pizza, a visit from the Easter Bunny and an egg hunt! Must RSVP.

Easter Celebration at Celebration UMC 10AM -1PM | FREE Annual egg hunt, bounce house, giant slide, obstacle course, hay ride, balloon sculpting, face painting, Sun Country Gym Bus, LIVE BUNNIES! and much more.
Egg Hunt at Haile Plantation Village Center 9AM -12:00PM Train rides, bouncy houses, face painting, photos with the Easter bunny, pony pet zoo and egg hunts by age group.
Egg Hunt at Waldo Flea Market 10:30AM | FREE Over 1700 eggs filled with candy and trinkets. Special scavenger hunt eggs will lead to even more prizes. Gold and Silver Egg Grand Prizes. Bring your camera for free photos with the Easter Bunny. This event is FREE and open to all children ages 1-10.

Sunday, March 31st:
On Land Easter Egg Hunt: Over 6000 Easter eggs containing toys or candy will be waiting for the children to find on Easter Sunday morning. There are 3 age groups for children: 1-5; 6-8; and 9-11. An adult must accompany all children. Meet at the camp store Easter Sunday at 10 AM
In Water Easter Egg Hunt: Snorklers age 12 and older can compete for over 180 under water eggs with total prizes valued at over $1000. (Maximum of 3 eggs per snorkler, and prizes cannot be exchanged and are not negotiable for other goods and services.) Snorklers should meet at Ginnie Springs deck for an 8:00AM called start.
