Easter egg hunts and celebrations free to the public

Dust off your Easter baskets, Peter Cottontail is hopping down the bunny trail once again, and Huntsville is the place to be to celebrate Easter. Throughout the Huntsville area, children will be able to enjoy several free Easter egg events open to the general public. 

  • The 6th Annual Great Egg Hunt will be held at the Big Spring Park in downtown Huntsville on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 9am. There will be 12,500 eggs, some with prizes, for ages 2-12 years old.
  • Dublin Park, Soccer Field #1, at 8324 Madison Pike will hold two egg hunts. On Friday night, April 2, 2010 at 7:30pm will be a Flashlight Egg Hunt for ages 6-12 years old. Children participating need to bring their own flashlights. On Saturday, April 2, 2010 at 9:30am is an egg hunt for ages 0-5 years old. At both egg hunts, the Easter bunny will make an appearance.
  • Faith Presbyterian Church on 5003 Whitesburg Dr. will hold its Family Easter Celebration and Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 3, 2010 from 10am -12pm. Children will get to decorate their bags for collecting eggs, participate in the egg hunt, hear stories, and sing songs. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch, and the church will offer cake and lemonade.
  • Harvest / Monrovia Community Easter Egg Hunt will be held at the Harvest Elementary School on Saturday, April 3, 2010 from 2pm- 4pm. There will be an egg hunt, inflatables, giveaways, and food.
