Easter is a time to celebrate and express gratitude for the many blessings in our lives.  It's also one of the best days of the year to go to church.  San Francisco has some of the most unique church experiences to be found, so if you are looking to try something new and different, here are a few options:

The Saint John Coltrane Church is a part of the great African Orthodox Church (A.O.C.) which was founded in the U.S. in 1921.  Jazz is the way to connect with Higher Spirit here, for a truly unique church experience.

Every Sunday, 12-3. Communion 1st Sunday of every month.

Grace Cathedral is known for its exquisite architecture, open-minded approach to worship, and world-famous marble labyrinth.  Easter Day, April 4, 2010?8:30 a.m. - Choral Eucharist?(Infant baptisms will occur at the 5 p.m. Saturday Vigil.) ?11:00 a.m. - Choral Eucharist with brass and tympani ?6:00 p.m. - Contemplative Eucharist on the Labyrinth
The celebrations continue on Easter Day with joyful services of Holy Eucharist. The day concludes with Contemplative Eucharist on the Labyrinth.

Glad Tidings Church welcomes churchgoers in casual dress, and offers a live band with service. Sunday, April 4th, 9:30 and 11:00 am. GT Mass Choir and GT Dance Troupe will be a part of the service.
