Easter brunch can be make a dent in a family budget, especially if hosting a large family or many friends. Instead of planning an expensive dinner, choose to host an Easter brunch instead.
There are several discount grocery stores that already have everyday low prices and you will find a few in the March 30 ad from Aldi you will find affordable prices in all departments, including produce. Prices may vary from region to region. Go to the Aldi website and put in your zip code to find the location near you. The prices in the Aldi ad are good through April 5.
If you are planning an Easter brunch consider serving a fruit platter or fruit salad. Savvy shoppers will find cantaloupe, strawberries, pineapple, bananas and mangos at in Aldi markets this week. In addition to a delicious fruit platter or fruit salad, you can also serve crescent rolls and cream cheese. Check the Aldi website for everyday low prices on juice, coffee, tea, yogurt and other items you may want to serve at your Easter brunch.
Produce and other prices listed in the Aldi ad March 30 through April 5:
- Cantaloupe: $1.49 each
- Strawberries: $1.99 per one pound package
- Pineapple: $1.99 each
- Bananas: 39¢ per pound
- Mangos: $1.99 per 10-ounce package
- Green pears: $1.49 per pound
- Bake House creations crescent rolls: 99¢ each 8-ounce package
- Happy Farms cream cheese or Fit & Active Neufchatel cheese: 99¢ per 8-ounce package
At Aldi you will need to bring your own grocery bags or buy the Aldi bags. Plastic bags are 10¢ each and paper bags are 5¢. You will also need a quarter in order to get a cart, but you will get it back when you return your cart. Aldi does not accept manufacturer's coupons.
