If you are looking for something different to do on Easter you might consider going to the zoo. The Indianapolis Zoo will be celebrating Easter and the arrival of spring during Easter at the Zoo on Sunday, April 20, 2014 from 9am to 5pm.
With spring being a time of new beginnings, Easter is the perfect opportunity to visit some of the Zoo’s
newest arrivals. Visitors will enjoy finding their favorite young animals, like elephants Nyah and Kalina; dolphin, walrus and more. You will also be able to learn fun facts and about how Zoo keepers care for these newcomers during special animal keeper chat.
And, it just wouldn’t be Easter without an Easter egg hunt. This egg hunt will include a unique twist like only the Zoo can do. And what's better is there's no basket required! All guests who find at least 10 of the 19 large animal print egg signs hidden throughout the Zoo and White River Gardens will win a special prize.
Additionally, visitors will enjoy other family friendly activities, including a unique photo opportunity, yummy Easter inspired treats and specials on face painting.
Easter is also the perfect time to visit White River Gardens. Many magnificent plants are springing
up at this special time of year and the whole family can experience the beauty and color of the Zoo’s seasonal exhibit, Butterfly Kaleidoscope presented by Citizens Energy Group. Admission to White River Gardens, including Butterfly Kaleidoscope, is included with regular Zoo admission.
