Easter Sunday Sunrise Service - A traditional Easter Sunday Sunrise Service will be hosted by The Street Church at 6:00 a.m., April 4 at Acacia Park in downtown Colorado Springs. Colorado Cowboys for Jesus will lead worship with time-honored hymns and well-loved songs. This year’s service will also feature communion. Need more info? Call 494-9912.
My99.9 3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt - Chapel Hills Mall, 8:00-10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 3. Enter the mall through either the movie theater or food court entrances to get registered.
The Easter egg hunt will be done according to ages:
0 to 2 years old: 8:00-8:30 a.m.
3 to 6 years old: 8:30-9:00 a.m.
7 to 10 years old: 9:00-9:15 a.m.
11 to 13 years old: 9:20-9:35 a.m.
14 to 17 years old: 9:40-9:55 a.m.
18+ years old: 10:00-10:15a.m.
Take the family for a stroll in Old Colorado City’s Historic District. Merchants will be hosting the 1st Annual Easter Stroll on W. Colorado Avenue between 23rd and 27th Streets on Saturday, April 3.
Participants can enter an Easter Bonnet Contest, as well as a chance to win a night at the Garden of the Gods Club. The contest begins at 11:07 a.m. and ends at 4:37 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for the best teen and child’s bonnet/hat. Participants can enter to win at each of the Historic District Merchants’ stores displaying the Stroll on the Avenue poster. For more information contact Nancy Stovall at 440-2717.
Bring your children (ages 2 to 10 years old) to Bear Creek Nature Center Saturday, April 3, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. for a Chocolate Bunny Walk and Egg Hunt. Attendees will meet a live rabbit, and participate in a group hike with a bunny guide. While on the trail, participants will look for goody-filled eggs. The cost is $5 for members of Bear Creek Nature Center and $7 for non-members. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 520-6387.
The McAllister House Museum is hosting an Easter egg hunt and crafts-making session Saturday, April 3. Children ages 2 to 5 will begin their hunt at 11:00 a.m. and children ages 6 to 10 will begin at 11:45 a.m. Hot tea and cider, and baked goodies will be available for kids and parents, as well as age-appropriate crafts. Reservations are not necessary but further information can be obtained by calling 635-7925. The cost is $3 per child. Don’t forget to bring an Easter basket!
The First Southern Baptist Church is presenting an Easter Eggstravaganza Saturday, April 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Boulder Park located at 1400 E. Boulder Street, 80909. The Eggstravaganza features an Easter Egg hunt for children, refreshments, and prizes.
Miramont Castle is hosting its annual Victorian Easter Egg Hunt and High Tea Saturday, April 3 for kids ages 2 to 10 at 9 Capitol Hill Avenue, Manitou Springs, 80829. All children must be accompanied by an adult. The cost is $32 for one adult accompanying one child. Seating is limited and credit card reservations are required. Contact 685-1011 for reservations.

The Fort Carson DFMWR is hosting an Easter Pancake Extravaganza for children ages 6 and older from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 4 at the Elkhorn Catering and Conference Center, 7300 Woodfill Rd., 80913. Families can enjoy homemade pancakes, participate in an Easter “Egg Roll,” and have free pictures taken with the Easter Bunny. The Extravaganza is free to children 5 years and younger and $5.00 for ages 6 years and older. Advance reservations are required by calling 576-6646.
