Easta La Vista and Buca di Beppo open in Baltimore (Photos)

Easta La Vista and Buca di Beppo are not tongue twisters they are new restaurants in Baltimore County.

Easta La Vista, opened in the heart of Pikesville on 1330 Reisterstown Road caddy corner to the old Fields Pharmacy and on the corner of the Alley Shops. The former Strapazza Italian Restaurant location has gone through numerous permutations but none had been Kosher (Star K) nor middle Eastern cuisine. The description on the Facebook page reads, “Authentic Kosher Middle Eastern Cuisine for the whole family has finally arrived in Baltimore. Try our signature dishes including shish kabobs, shwarma, felafel, shnitzel, sambusak, "shuki" burger, assorted salatim, and our exotic and decadent desserts!”

Buca di Beppo in the lower level of White Marsh Mall will be open for business Tuesday, January 8th.. Part of a chain that started off in the basement of a Minneapolis apartment building it has grown to over 86 locations in the US. This is dining family style, platters small and large – reminiscent of Italian family tradition where everyone sat and shared their day-to-day around the table, breaking bread. Picture any Italian movie food scene where families are gathered at the table, passing the bowl of meatballs in Italian gravy and you get the gist of Buca di Beppo. Everything is made in portions to share. Appetizers, breads, salads, entrees, pasta, sides and dessert all come “family style.” For those of you with gluten intolerances they have a separate menu just for you. www.bucadibeppo.com/
