If “Stay classy, San Diego” ever goes out of style, then perhaps it can be replaced with “Craft beer makes everything better.” San Diegans love them some craft beer and are generally apt to try it all. Luckily, a new tasting room seems to pop up on an almost monthly basis (looking forward to seeing you soon, Modern Times…), but on April 5th, craft beer is billed as a headliner for a main event.
Craft Beer + Bites will take place next Saturday, April 5th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m at SILO in Makers Quarter. If you haven’t been to the East Village lately, you’re missing out on the artistic addition continuing to cause an exciting stir in the neighborhood. SILO in Makers Quarter is an open event space that illustrates an explosion of color with beautifully-designed murals, including a new banner promoting the Craft Beer + Bites event.
This marks the second edition of the event that was greeted with great success its first time around. Craft beer from 10 local breweries and bites from 10 local restaurants will be available to guests. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door for the 10 pairings.
Guests can also enjoy ping-pong, bocce ball, beanbag toss and life-sized Jenga. Local vendors will be on site as well with custom menswear, murals, home brewing, and silk-screening displays. The event welcomes pets and marks a perfect way to spend the day downtown.
SILO in Makers Quarter is located at 753 15th St.
