East Tennessee Clean Fuels AFV free event at Pellissippi State

Lance Armstrong is now officially the first American to take delivery of the all electric new Nissan Leaf. Electric vehicles are trending everywhere, even here in East Tennessee. But say you're out of the loop and want to learn more about alternative vehicles; where can you go to learn more, maybe even take a test drive? Well, you're in luck.

The East Tennessee Clean Fuels Coalition is hosting a free event, this Friday, October 15 from 10 am to 3 pm at Pellissippi State Community College in Knoxville, in participation with National AFV Day Odyssey 2010.

More than 15 alternative fuel vehicles (AFV) will be on display, some of which will be available for a test drive. You can also test drive an e-bike and The Zappy scooter. There will also be informational booths, presentations and discussions on alternative fuels/vehicles, as well as the following:

PSTCC students will also be competing for a $200 prize by playing "Clean Fuels Jeopardy." So come on out to Pellissippi on Hardin Valley Road this Friday, October 15. It will be a fun day to take a test drive and learn everything you ever wanted to know about AFVs and the EV Project in Tennessee.
