A woman being chased by her boyfriend lost control of her car early Sunday morning, causing an accident that extinguished four lives, and closed Interstate 94 for nearly six hours.
All three occupants of the pick-up and one of the girlfriend’s passengers were fatally injured.
Police were dispatched to the scene at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday. Three of those mortally injured were pronounced dead at the scene. The fourth was rushed to Detroit Receiving Hospital and died there.
The girlfriend survived, but is in critical condition. Two of her three passengers were listed in serious condition.
The spectacular accident kept the eastbound lanes of I-94 closed for almost six hours.
