Earthrager Ptah is a boss in World of Warcraft's Cataclysm Halls of Origination dungeon, and is often an enjoyable experience for adventurers who have just finished up the more challenging Anhuur and Anraphet.
Earthrager Ptah is a fairly simple fight that gives players the opportunity to ride on camel mounts during the encounter, offering an achievement and the ability to cast while moving for spellcasters in your group.
Earthrager Ptah on Normal Difficulty: Players should watch to avoid Earth Spikes, which deal damage and will knock riders off their special camel mounts. Melee should be careful to avoid staying close to the tank, as Earthrager Ptah can dish out a lethal amount of close range damage very quickly to the area around his target.
At 50% health, the gimmick of the fight occurs - Earthrager Ptah will submerge into the sand and fling out a smattering of smaller monsters. The tank should try and grab them all so they can be grouped up and AOE'ed down, place priority on picking up the dangerous skeletons over the scarabs. After that, it's business as usual for the remainder of the battle.
Earthrager Ptah on Heroic Difficulty: There's little difference in the encounter, making it one of Cataclysm's easiest heroic battles.
