There are a lot of new shows making waves right now. One of them is "Bering Sea Gold." In this hit show, they dive down into the water to find gold and fans wonder how it gets there. On March 17, Yahoo reported that a new study says that earthquakes turn water into gold.
This study says that when water in the faults vaporizes it turns to gold and is then deposited into the ocean. In a recent episode of "Bering Sea Gold," John Bunce went down really low to find a lot of gold along the bottom. This could explain how it is getting there if it is true.
Jamie Wilkinson, a geochemist at Imperial College London in the United Kingdom, says that this is plausible and it could really be happening. It totally makes sense to him, but of course more studies need to be done to make sure this is truth.
Do you think that earthquakes are leaving gold behind? Sound off in the comments below.
