Earth Day activities at the St. Louis Zoo

The St. Louis Zoo will host Earth Day: Party for the Planet on April 27. The event coincides with the Earth Day Festival in Forest Park and will feature special activities throughout the day.

There will be Earth Day stations set up throughout the zoo where families can engage in Earth-friendly activities, make a craft, enjoy live music, learn about how conservation efforts affect animals, and learn more about the St. Louis Zoo’s animals through keeper chats.

There will even be an Earth Day mystery for visitors to solve. Guests can get an Earth Day Event Passport at either Zoo entrance and earn stamps by completing a craft or activity. The stamps will give visitors a clue to a mystery word. When a guest has three stamps and has guessed the mystery word, the Passport can be returned to a Zoo entrance for a prize.

Keeper Chats during Earth Day: Party for the Planet include those about lions, tree kangaroos, takins, sea lions, giant tortoises, gorillas, rhinoceroses, Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs, and black and white ruffed lemurs. See the Earth Day schedule for a complete list of Keeper Chat times.

Earth Day: Party for the Planet takes place from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. The St. Louis Zoo will remain open until 5 p.m.
