Our human ear is a great creation of God where it converts sound waves and processes it in a language that our brain can understand. As it is common in nature, ear do have threshold of hearing. Normally we can hear frequencies ranging from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. A typical conversation spoken occurs at 60 db. What is interesting to know that if one listens to Mp3 players of i Pods at a volume of 5 or in medium one is said to hear sound at a range of 100db, loud enough to cause permanent damage after just listening 15 minutes per day?
Although the study speaks of using ear buds that can close the ear channel completely so that no other sound passes through, still for a lay man hearing an iPod or Mp3 player can be a little dangerous. What do you think?
