Early winter storm plays havoc with Burleson Christmas acitivities

The early winter storm has brought icy road conditions and chilling temperatures prompting Burleson to postpone many of its Christmas activities.

Breakfast with Santa scheduled for December 7 at the BRICk 550 N W Summercrest from 7-11 a.m. will be rescheduled for December 14 at the same location. Santa and his merry elves will be cooking up a breakfast of pancakes, sausage and orange juice. Santa will be in the Winter Wonderland to hear children’s wish lists until 11 a.m. Advance tickets are on sale at the BRICk are $4.00 for children and $5.00 for adults. At the door prices for December 14 are adult’s $7 and children $5 adults.

The Christmas Craft Fair to be held at the Senior Citizen Center 216 S W Johnson Ave. scheduled for December 7 has also been rescheduled for December 14 at the same time from 9-2. Please only use cash to purchase your distinctive gifts as some vendors will not accept any other form of payment.

The Rotary Club’s parade and the City’s treeighting ceremony and subsequent fireworks which was scheduled for December 7 at 6 p.m. were cancelled and have not been rescheduled.

Burleson’s other closures for December 7 includes the Burleson Public Library, Burleson Animal Shelter, and the City’s recycling center.

Hidden Creek Golf Course will be closed December 7; however the gift shop will be open from 9-3 and the restaurant from 10 a.m. – 2.p.m.

The BRICk also will be open from 10 a.m.-2.p.m.
