Turning warm and sunny!
Turning warm and sunny!
Mike Groenke

A warm front will move through the region this morning leading to temperatures soaring into the 80s! Coupled with sunny skies, this will be a perfect batch of weather for central Ohio. It may even leave you wondering where spring went with this early taste of summer!

With low humidity, warm weather, and plenty of sun, you will want to get outside and enjoy the nice weather today. Highs will hit the lower 80s and temperatures will stay in the 70s through the entire evening. Thursday will be even warmer as an upper level ridge of high pressure builds over the region. Highs on Thursday could hit the upper 80s in some locations!

A cold front will head towards Ohio on Friday bringing a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms. Storms will continue into Saturday in a scattered fashion. Both days will be slightly cooler thanks to the clouds and rain around. At this time, isolated strong storms cannot be ruled out but a higher severe threat will likely be kept away thanks to only meager instability in the atmosphere. Stay tuned for further updates to the forecast with the threat for storms this weekend.

The first look at Mother’s Day is showing only a slight chance for a passing shower and highs in the 70s. Our next weather system moves in early next week with another chance for scattered thunderstorms.
