Located in the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, Early Mountain Vineyards is hosting an oyster festival in partnership with its Best of Virginia partner Chatham Vineyards on Saturday, March 23, from noon until 5 p.m.
The festival will serve fresh Eastern Shore wild seaside oysters, clams, chowder and all the fixings. Each guest will also receive two complimentary glasses of Chatams's steel fermented 2010 Church Creek Chardonnay. Live entertainment will be provided by The Green Boys and Chamomile & Whiskey.
Additional wines from Early Mountain and Chatham will be available for purchase.
Tickets are $55 for all you can eat food and the two glasses of wine. A limited number of VIP tickets are also available for $65 and include early bird entrance (10:30 a.m.) to the festival and the opportunity to be in the audience for a live taping of Federal News Radio's Foodie and the Beast show with Nycci and David Nellis, including samples of all of the products featured on the show.
Comprising more than 300 acres of the historic Monticello Wine Trail, Early Mountain Vineyards is located at 6109 Wolftown-Hood Road in Madison, Va. (approximately 90 mins. drive from Washington, D.C.) The vineyard is owned by Jean and Steve Case, former AOL executives, and is committed to showcasing Virginia wines through its partnership with award-winning wineries throughout the state.
