October is such an exciting month. We are well into the Autumn Season and as you know there are so many activities to participate in with our little ones. There are tons of festivals and parties centered on the season and Halloween. I have decided to highlight a few that are definitely worth checking out.
Imagine It! The Children's Museum
On October 23rd, the museum will be hosting an event, Trick or Treat, from 6:30p.m. – 8:30p.m. There will be fall activities with crafts, prizes, games and a costume parade. Atlanta Botanical Gardens
During the month of October the garden will be filled with a variety of homemade scarecrows created by metro area residents and organizations.
On October 24th, the garden will host Goblins in the Garden. The event will take place from 11a.m. – 5p.m. Some of the activities provided will be a parade, storytelling, train rides and finding a glass golden pumpkin. The Candler Park neighborhood will be hosting its Candler Park Fall Fest the weekend of October 23rd –24th. Children will be able to trick–or-treat and participate in a costume contest. There will be live music and other activities provided. Go to http://www.candlerpark.org/fallfest
The Atlanta Zoo will be having its annualBoo at the Zoo the last two weekends in October. As visitors walk along the paths they will be able to visit craft stations and treat stations. There will be costumed characters a Monster Mash dance, costume contest and other activities. Visit http://www.zooatlanta.org/for more information.
Howl-o-Ween is a family Halloween Festival that will take place from noon until 6 p.m. on October 30th. The event will have a pumpkin decorating contest a child and dog costume contest and trick-or-treating.
