Eagles will interview Hawks DC Gus Bradley today

The Philadelphia Eagles will interview Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Gus Bradley today.

This will be his second interview for one of the five remaining head coaching vacancies within the NFL. He will be interviewing with the Eagles today in Atlanta, but also has to have his mind on the Atlanta Falcons.

The Seahawks face the Falcons tomorrow in the Division Round.

On Thursday, Bradley interviewed for the San Diego Chargers head coaching position. He is being considered a favorite to become the new Eagles head coach, as is Notre Dame's Brian Kelly.

"Well, it's flattering. And I know people talk about our entire focus is on Atlanta and it really is," Bradley said. "It's so important to us. We worked so hard to get to this point and our whole message to the team is to keep raising the bar and getting better and better every week. They're talking that and we're talking that, so it's easy to stay focused on it. It's flattering as you've all heard before. But our entire focus is on Atlanta and trying to get one step closer."

Bradley has been the Seahawks defensive coordinator for the past three seasons. In 2012, the Seahawks' defense allowed opponents to gain 306.2 yards (4th in the league) and to score 15.3 points per game (1st).

In 2011, the 'Hawks defense allowed opponents to gain 332.2 yards (9th in the league) and to score 19.7 points per game (7th). In 2010, the 'Hawks defense allowed opponents to gain 368.6 yards (27th in the league) and to score 25.4 points per game (25th).
He came to the Seahawks from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

With the Buccaneers, he started out in 2006, as the Bucs Defensive Quality Control Coach, working closely with then defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin, who was named the Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator yesterday.

In 2007, he was named Buccaneers linebackers coach for two seasons. Before joining the Bucs, he coached in the college ranks from 1990 to 2005 with North Dakota State and Fort Lewis College.

"He's got a brilliant football mind," Seahawks coach Peter Carroll said this week. "He's got a way of reaching people and touching people and getting the best out of them, coaches and players alike. He's got everything that you're looking for."
