The Philadelphia Eagles have signed corner back Chris Hawkins to a reserve/future contract.
He will be 27-years-old this April, and is a long shot to make the team. He spent the 2012 season out of football.
He played in nine games with the Tennessee Titans during the 2011 season. In that season, he had 14 tackles.
His signing is much to do with off-season depth than actually making the roster.
He was not picked up in the 2010 NFL draft and went undrafted until signing an undrafted free agent contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He spent that year on the Jaguars practice squad.
He played college football at Louisiana State, where he was a two-year starter. He had just five interceptions in his college career.
