Philadelphia, PA – Despite their most recent game ending with a less than favorable score, the Philadelphia Eagles took pride in another category this past Sunday when they successfully out-punted the New York Giants 6-5 in the game played at Lincoln Financial Field in South Philadelphia. “It’s a moral victory for us,” said Eagles head coach, Chip Kelly, following the 15-7 loss. “In this league, you can’t just go by what the final score says. There are many other facets of the game that must be accounted for and this victory is just as important as the one that counts in the win/loss column,” added Kelly.
The Eagles and their lead punter, Donnie Jones, whose record now stands at 3-5 on the season, look to add to their momentum next Sunday against the Oakland Raiders in California, where they hope the higher wind speeds will allow Donnie Jones to boot them to another victory.
