If you have a youngster who is “eggcited” about Easter, here are a few goings on in and around town.

Hop on in to the Gettysburg Outlet Village today, April, 12 as the Easter Bunny makes his way in. Mr. Bunny will be welcoming visits and photo opportunities with children between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (bring your own camera) in the food court. There will be many fun games, crafting events, stories, food samplings and fun for the whole family. Come out for a spin of the wheel and a chance to win prizes and gift certificates, or take part in an Easter-themed scavenger hunt. Pick up an activity sheet, find the hidden words throughout the shopping center and win an Easter goody bag! In addition to these happy, hoppy frollies, there will be ongoing carriage rides down Main Street throughout the day as well. For more information, visit

At Mr. Ed’s Elephant Museum, in Orrtanna, Mr. Ed is hosting his 4th Annual Bunny Party and Easter Egg Hunt. The party starts rolling with live museum, fun, and an eggstravaganza of an Easter Egg Hunt in which children will hunt for 5,000 eggs. The Easter Bunny will be making a special appearance along the way! For more information, go to

Green Meadows Petting Farm, in nearby Ijamsville, MD, will be hosting Easter Egg Hunts from April 16 through April 20. Two hunts will take place on each of the days—one in the morning and the second in the afternoon. Come out, bring your basket and enjoy trekking through the farmlands as you gather eggs and visit the Easter Bunny. Gates open at 9:30 a.m. on the weekday hunts and 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The last admission is at 2 p.m. In addition to the Easter Egg hunting, children are invited to also enjoy the usual farm follies—touching and feeding the animals, milking cows, taking hayrides and more. For additional details visit:

Hollabaugh Bros. Fruit Farm and Market, in Biglerville, will continue with its annual family friendly Easter Celebration on Saturday, April 19. This event combines crafts, Easter Egg hunting, wagon rides, stories and of course, Bunny visits with the Easter Bunny’s cousins (real rabbits). The ever popular Hop Along the Bunny Trail will reopen so children may hop along, gathering eggs and other goodies. No registration is required to take part. Children are admitted for $5.
