Each Other premiere "Sit Still" on Pitchfork, announce new 7" in March

Each Other are three Haligonians (for us yanks, that means they're from Halifax, Nova Scotia) transplanted to Montreal, Quebec. Brad Loughead (vocals/guitar/bass), Mike Wright (vocals/guitar/bass) & Christian Simmons (percussion) merged together through a series of broken bands (Long Long Long, York Redoubt, Play Guitar) and at last have a common and resolute goal to let guitars, their shared love of classic pop songs and budding voices do things together.

The band started as an provisional outlet for Loughead and Wright to ruminate on their collection of older song ideas. It was soon after that a new and unexpected abstraction began to spring forth from their skewed pop fragments.

The first result of their cooperation is the dualism come resolved twenty minute EP, Taking Trips. Released in October 2011, Taking Trips defines sound that is unmistakably theirs, odd signatured psych-pop pieces of entwining guitars and vocal harmonies that together truly becomes a voice of its own.

Each Other hit the ground running in 2012 releasing a pair of new songs "Traces to Nowhere" / "Sit Still" on Brooklyn's 7-inch label, Crikey! Records on March 1st to launch their debut U.S. Tour. These new psych melodies are setting the tone for a continuous stream of efforts to come.
