A simulation of the 2014 NHL season by EA Sports has predicted Tampa Bay Lighting forward Steven Stamkos will score 64 goals during the 2013-14 NHL season, EA Sports revealed on their official site today.
The simulation, run by EA Sports and utilizing their player ratings, attributes and line combinations, said the young star will lead the league in goals and take home the Maurice “Rocket” Richard trophy for the third occasion, a feat only accomplished by Washington Capitals forward Alexander Ovechkin.
The simulation also predicted that Jonathan Drouin, the Lightning’s first round selection in the 2013 entry draft would win the Calder trophy as the NHL’s top rookie.
Tampa Bay isn’t the only team with players to talk about though. According to the simulation. Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby will claim his second Hart and Art Ross trophies, pacing the league with 109 points.
“NHL 14” is currently available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
