Kam Chancellor, Troy Polamalu, TJ Ward , Eric Berry and Reshad Jones were named as the top-five rated Strong Safeties in the upcoming “Madden NFL 15” video game Electronic Arts revealed on their official site today.
It wouldn’t be a top five list without a member of the Super Bowl Champion Seahawks defense and Chancellor’s 93 overall rating ties him with the Steelers’ Polamalu for the top spot. While Polamalu’s fancy haircut and shampoo commercials have garnered him worldwide appeal and his prowess on the field has made him a multi-time All-Pro, the 26-year-old “Bam Bam Kam” is still coming into his own.
“Bam Bam Kam is a big hitting machine with 97 Hit Power and 85 Tackling,” EA Sports said on their official website today. “Rounding out the LOB with 84 Zone Coverage, Kam uses his 84 Speed and 88 Pursuit to get involved with stopping the run game.”
The tough as nails Ward rounded out the top three with a 91 overall rating for his first season with the Broncos, while the unusually speedy Berry nabbed the number four spot with a 90 rating.
Finishing out the top five was Miami’s Jones, who had 107 combined tackles and an interception in 2013.
“Madden 15” is set for an August 26 release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One home gaming consoles.
