According to a report today from GameSpot, Electronic Arts is recommending that Xbox 360 gamers who purchase Battlefield 4 install the optional 12.4 GB of additional content that comes along with the game.
EA confirmed on its help forum website that Battlefield 4 gamers playing the Xbox 360 version of the game will be required to install 2 GB worth of content to their hard drives, but recommends the additional 12.4 GB of content to enhance the gaming experience.
“We highly recommend performing these additional installations to make sure you have the best experience possible in Battlefield 4,” EA said.
Battlefield 4 will ship for the Xbox 360 on two discs, one for multiplayer and one for single player.
The multiplayer disc has an additional 6.6 GB of content while the single player disc has 5.6 GB of installation content.
Battlefield 3 also shipped with two discs.
It’s unclear if PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox One or PC versions of the game will offer the optional installs.
Battlefield 4 drops for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on Oct. 29 in North America and launches alongside the Xbox One and PS4 when they launch in mid- and late-November.
