EA gives out one free game as an act of good faith for SimCity 5 players

So as well all know, SimCity 5 has not been released with great reviews. It's not that the game was necessarily bad (nor good), it's just that people couldn't play it. What is turning out to be a massive public relations nightmare for EA, the "always on" digital rights management coupled with horrible servers have rendered the game useless for most. On top of this, poor traffic and citizen AI have made the game less then inspiring for some.

So how does EA plan to rectify this? By giving you a free game for your troubles. In an act of good faith, EA released a list of games that players could choose one from as a gift for dealing with their SimCity 5 disaster. The list of games offered is as follows:

  • Battlefield 3 (Standard Edition)
  • Bejeweled 3
  • Dead Space 3 (Standard Edition)
  • Mass Effect 3 (Standard Edition)
  • Medal of Honor Warfighter (Standard Edition)
  • Need For Speed Most Wanted (Standard Edition)
  • Plants vs. Zombies
  • SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition

Now, in terms of cost, Dead Space 3 is the obvious choice here considering it's brand new, but any of the games will do just fine given you're a fan. Avoid SimCity 4 though, you can purchase it for $20 and it's not worth the grief and money you wasted on SimCity 5.
