EA: AllDrive will be a part of Need for Speed ‘for a very long time’

In an ongoing feature this week, we have asked Executive Producer at EA Marcus Nilsson some questions about the recently released Need for Speed Rivals. One of the only racing titles available at launch of the next generations PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the game also got released on current gen systems. The new title contains a new feature called AllDrive, which allows players to customize their racing experience, such as playing with weapons or different driver roles. We asked Marcus about how AllDrive will progress from here and this is what he had to say:

I think it’s a little bit too early to say. We obviously have a big list of stuff that we think will improve it later on, and there are some clear things coming out right now from players that we can monitor. This is the first installment of AllDrive, and I think AllDrive will be part of Need for Speed for a very long time going forward. Quite frankly, I’ve never had the reception for a game like I’ve had on this one. I’ve never seen the amount of positive feedback around a game feature. I know how to bring it forward. I’m not going to bring that out now, but there are ways we can build on it going forward.

Need For Speed Rivals has received positive feedback from everywhere. AllDrive is definitely a concept that has helped change up the series. Hopefully, EA can get even more creative with it down the road.

Stay tuned for more information from Marcus Nilsson this week about Need for Speed Rivals
