The latest on the sequel to Army of Two from my brother, Joseph Tresca of Eyeballistic, who is currently live in LA at the Electronic Entertainment Expo.
The 40th Day has improved graphics, specifically the character animation. Currently, there are slow down and some shadow mapping problems. The final game will run at 30 frames per second.
The musical score is by Tyler Bates who did the music for 300 and Watchmen.
"They really are trying to make the game feel as though a disaster is happening to you," said Joe. "Though the environments are not destructable, you'll notice that the game shows how the environment explodes around you."
Weapon customization is unparalleled compared to other games. Joe likens it to "Lego blocks, but with weapons." You can pick up items and use them for customizing such as using a coke bottle as a weapon silencer.
The developers want to stress moral choices you can make by allowing to you execute or release hostages.
More from Joe as it happens!
