E3, the biggest gaming event of the year, this week

Electronic Entertainment Expo, better known as E3, will be held this week June 7-9 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.  The gaming expose, while not held anywhere near Dayton, is the biggest trade-show for computer and video games.  Starting in 1995, the expo has grown over the years but in the past few has been scaled back for game makers and journalist only.

Every year the gaming companies save their big announcements and upcoming game reveals for this event.  This year proves to be no exception as Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft have let some things leak as to what will be announced, or confirmed, but also have some tricks up their sleeve.

Even though E3 doesn’t start officially until June 7th, there are pre-events starting tomorrow, June 5th.  The big three have their own dates for this and it’s possible to learn some of secrets that will be revealed at this year’s E3 during one of them.
