E3 2013 will have major PS4 content that will be playable, Xbox 720 to join (Photos)

PS4 is now confirmed to be demoing a large amount of playable content at this year's E3 Expo in Los Angeles, and it makes people wonder if the Xbox 720 will be able to say the same thing about their upcoming content.

According to a report from NowGamer yesterday, Jack Tretton, President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment, talked about how there indeed will be plenty of PlayStation 4 content that is playable at E3 2013.

"There will be multiple [PS4] unveils.

"Our biggest industry event is E3 coming up in June and there will be a lot of playable content on the floor. [E3] is not a consumer show but consumers will get their opportunity to play before it ships," Tretton said.

Recently, the PlayStation 4's setup was compared by a chip expert to that of a high-end PC.

Kevin Krewell, a longtime chip analyst at the Linley Group, talked about what he thought about the system's specs.

"This is an AMD chip with Radeon graphics.

"It’s very comparable to a mid- to high-end gaming PC.

"Even though the CPU is combined with the GPU on one die, like most PC processors today, the higher bandwidth memory and custom design indicates it should have graphics performance more like a discrete GPU found in a gaming PC," Krewell said.
