Since 1979, the Alliance Against Family Violence and Sexual Assault (AAFVSA) has provided support and services to the Bakersfield community. Their mission as a non-profit organization is to educate against family violence and sexual assault, and to provide services to those who have suffer from domestic violence and/or sexual assault to reclaim their lives.
The organization started with a 24 hour hotline, 34 years ago, and has added many other programs and services that work to end domestic violence and sexual assault in our community, as well as support those who have been victimized.
While there are many ways to help the Alliance Against Family Violence and Sexual Assault to maintain their programs and continue their important work, this Saturday February 23 - you can help them and help yourself - by recycling your electronic waste in a special drive in partnership with Alianza Recycling and Recovery LLC.
