Celebrity host and TV personality of E! News, Fashion Police and Giuliana and Bill, has went public with her breast cancer diagnosis.
Rancic, 36, decided it was time for her to go public and not hide from her friends and fans no more.
Rancic who spoke to friend and co-anchor, Ryan Seacrest and reported by E! Online said, "There was a long period of time where I thought I was going to hide this from everyone, that I didn't need to tell anyone." Rancic went on and said, "as time went by, I would see friends of mine that didn't know, and I would think, 'God, I wish I could let her know what I'm going through,' so that she goes and gets checked."
Rancic who has been trying to get pregnant with husband, Bill Rancic, originally didn't want to get a mamogram but her IVF doctor recommended it to Rancic if she wanted to go further with getting pregnant.
Rancic admitted she never thought it would happen to her. Rancic told Ann Cury in an interview on Today, "I wasn't prepared to get a mammogram until I was 40 years old, like I'd been told." Rancic also added, "I never in my wildest dreams expected anything to be wrong."
Thankfully, Rancic detected her breast cancer at the early stages. Rancic whose thinking positive said, "So that's my situation. I'm going to survive, I'm going to be just fine, I'm not broken, but that's because I found it early."
The celebrity host will take some time off while she goes through radiation therapy and will undergo a lumpecotmy.
