We first met e.kaye collection’s Emily Sifrit last fall at The Fashion Market’s Chicago Fashion Week event. Her design style was inspired by a vision of the modern, feminine woman with an unmistakable feeling for flirtatious fun. That inspiration endures.
Sifrit launched her current collection on Thursday at RAW Discovery Chicago. The collection adeptly awakens the senses with its very easy-to-wear feminine pieces. Sifrit surprised attendees with a peek into her new menswear line, which is inspired by the casual, carefree, sexy man who is committed to his energetic urban life.
The womenswear collection boasted versatile separates with both shin-flattering and ankle-skimming pants and sexy, fresh midi tops.
The classic overall-shorts were imagined and re-imagined with feminine elegance; Sifrit fused the halter top and shorts, harmonizing them with the assistance of a crisscross waist-revealing band.
Sifrit presents artful couture in her feminine cocktail dress with asymmetrical cuts and flattering architectural pleats in a delicate, shimmering silk blend. Delicate neutral hues, which gracefully cross seasons, were well represented in this collection -- pastel peach, subtle plum, grey, and black all equally at home the year long.
E.kaye’s piece de resistance was a décollète evening gown with its deep, sexy right-side split; animated by the winter landscaped-inspired fabric, the gown is permitted to simultaneously claim extravagance and understatement.
The energy, textures, and sensuouness of the multi-seasonal pieces coalesce into a single, unified delight which captures the spirit of the brand. According to Sifrit, e. kaye collection’s creations are designed with several factors in mind. “I keep the looks feminine, but always fresh and fun.”
“My main focus is to provide the everyday woman with an outfit that makes her feel proud to be who she is, to make her feel beautiful whether she is behind a desk or in a club. Most, of my pieces are versatile, and meant to be used dressed up or dressed down. After all, women are all professional multi-taskers. Our outfits should be too.”
This collection is proof that Sifrit is off to a great start.
