A comparison has been made between the PS3 and PS4 versions of the upcoming multiplatform video game, “Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends.” According to a report from Dual Shockers on Dec. 20, the next-generation version of the action title features various visual upgrades when compared to the current-generation iteration.
The PS4 version of “Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends” features better lighting effects compared to the same game running on the PS3. The texture quality, mapping resolution and aliasing are also noticeably worse on the current-generation console. Tecmo Koei Games announced “Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends” during a press conference held by Sony Computer Entertainment during this year’s Tokyo Game Show. In addition to the PS3 and PS4, the extended edition of “Dynasty Warriors 8” will also be available for the Playstation Vita handheld platform.
“Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends” should be released sometime in the spring season of 2014. The PS4 and Playstation Vita versions will be called “Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends” as the products also comes with the original “Dynasty Warriors 8” video game along with the expansion. The upcoming title was developed by Omega Force, the same studio responsible for the previous installments of the series.
