The search for Dylan Redwine continues, but now there is a new update in the case -- perhaps the first credible one in several weeks. Officials are now seeking a potential witness who might have seen something the day Dylan vanished almost exactly three months ago. The Durango Herald reported on Feb. 11, 2013 that the man is described as Hispanic and between the ages of 45 and 50 years old.
The older Hispanic man is being sought as a potential witness, but not as a person of interest or suspect. This could indicate a number of things. It could mean that they already have potential persons of interest in their minds, or it could mean that officials are simply playing it safe as far as locating clues goes. Speculation is obviously running high at the moment with this new update circulating around the media and social networks. However, it's important to keep an open mind and hope that this mystery witness turns himself in to officials so he can be cleared of involvement and possibly grilled for info.
In the meantime, the loved ones of Dylan Redwine are still holding onto hope that he might be somewhere waiting to be found. This type of hope is common among families of missing persons, and at times it is necessary in holding it together while keeping up with the search for answers. However, it's important that everyone remain realistic in knowing that this case may not have the positive ending that everyone wants -- which means that there is someone out there who is potentially guilty of a horrific crime. This person (or persons) needs to be caught, charged and brought to justice.
A reward for over $50,000 is currently being offered for information on Dylan, perhaps someone might know the witness officials are speaking of, and is inspired to do some good.
