When someone asked him about Kathy Bates joining the cast for season three, he let it slip that she will fit in with all the rest of the Salem Witches. many fans are sitting back in their chairs silently patting themselves on the back as they seemingly guessed correctly from the clues that Ryan Murphy, the show creator dropped at the tail end of season two.
The first clue was when the jukebox arrived at the asylum. Sister Mary Eunice played "I Put a Spell on You." If that wasn't enough of a clue for fans, the ruby red shoes that Lana Winters wears while the cast dances to "The Name Game" should be a glaring clue. The only person that wears ruby red slippers is the Wicked Witch of the East, and then Dorothy Gale. In the witchcraft community, however, red is the color of protection, so it seems that perhaps Sarah Paulson could be playing a victim in the upcoming season.
Fans are excited about the prospect of witchcraft in season three of "American Horror Story" so hopefully it's true.
